Discovered by Mauritz Hammarberg (Sweden, 1931).
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa.  
Bloom:
Red - violet.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Hardy.  vigorous.  produces decorative hips.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The Swedish Rose Society recommends Moje Hammarberg for northern Sweden.
