Bred by Nicola Welter (Germany, 1905).
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1906 as 'Baron von Pallandt'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Vermilion.  Moderate, centifolia fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
