I purchased this rose in a tree form when it came out because I support Breast Cancer Awareness. Vigorous growth, great resistance to disease, insects, etc. Disappointed in the fragrance, lack of colour (too pale a pink and it pales out even more very quickly) and it doesn't last long on the plant or as a cut rose.

AARS says this rose is highly fragrant, fills a room with a delicious, fruity fragrance. The desciption here says no/none fragrance. Anyone who is growing this rose could you please tell me what you think. It is absolutely beautiful and I would love to have it.

Mine is beautiful and very fragrant.
Mine is a brand new bush started as bareroot in a container this Spring 2009 and now transplanted to my garden bed.
I have been impressed with it's vigorous growth and it's very beautifully formed and fragrant flowers.
I hope that as it establishes itself over the next couple of years that it continues to improve and represent it's cause well. A I understand it a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of Pink Promise goes to the Breast Cancer Foundation to help funding of cancer research. This is money well spent. You will enjoy this rose immenseley in your garden and your money will go to a good cause.
