Origin:
Bred by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1895).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1904 as 'Chevalier Angelo Ferrario'.

Bloom:
Crimson - purple, carmine-red edges.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
