Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Large-Flowered Climber, Rambler.
Bloom:
Salmon-pink, lilac highlights, yellow undertones. Mild, apple, tea fragrance. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, flat bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.
Habit:
Climbing. Glossy, dark green foliage. Height of 10' to 15' (305 to 455 cm). Width of up to 8' (up to 245 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Drought resistant. shade tolerant. Prune after flowering is finished.
Notes:
'Paul Transon' is sometimes confused with 'Paul Noël' in commerce. Paul-Emery-Michel Transon (1837- June 15, 1909 Orléans), from the Orléans nursery family of Transon, entered into a partnership with Alfred Barbier in 1872. He was Mayor of Orléans 1896-1898 and Honorary President of the Société horticole du Loiret.
