Bred by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, 1944).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1958 as 'Perla de Alcanada'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink.  18 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Small, semi-double (9-16 petals), flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Short, compact.  Glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  
Height of 6" to 1' (15 to 30 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Ploidy:
Diploid
