Miniature, Patio. (Series: Shrublet ™)
Deep yellow. Mild, licorice fragrance. 5 petals. Average diameter 2". Very large, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped-to-flat bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Small, pointed buds.
Bushy, compact, thornless (or almost). Small, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: 18" to 3' (45 to 90cm). Width: 2' to 39" (60 to 100cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden or ground cover. Flowers drop off cleanly. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
'Baby Love' represents a breakthrough in rose breeding -- a yellow rose with excellent disease-resistance! As the season progresses, you'll see both flowers and hips on the plant.
