Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1942).

Bloom:
Very rich red.  Medium bloom form.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  
Breeder's notes:
[writing in1940 [?] & published in 1941] : I have a seedling of Moyesii blood that carries medium sized flowers of very rich red, and I propose to call it Bonnie Rosette and distribute it next year. Although I have used Moyesii as a parent I have not before noticed traces of it from the use of its pollen, but from this seedling I have rich hopes of good things to come.
