Is it true that Renae is thornless? If it is not, can you recommend any climbers that are? Thank you. Terez

Yes, Renae is about as smooth as a rose gets.

My specimen of 'Renae' is also thornless. I don't even feel any tiny prickles underneath the leaf midribs. And the foliage is very unique & beautiful.

'Annie Laurie McDowell' is even smoother though it takes awhile to build into a climber.
