Bred by Domenico Aicardi (1878-1964) (Italy, 1937).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1940 as 'Rome Glory'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet.  Strong fragrance.  50 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, very full (41+ petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Dark green foliage.  
Height of up to 47" (up to 120 cm).  Width of up to 2' (up to 60 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
