Medium pink Species. Exhibition name: R. blanda
Bloom:
Rose-pink. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Arching, bushy, thornless (or almost), well-branched. Medium, matte, dark green, leathery foliage. 5 to 9 leaflets. Height of 4' 11" to 8' 2" (150 to 250 cm). Width of up to 4' (up to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer. Vigorous. produces decorative hips.

R. blanda Aiton (1789). Section Cinnamomeae. See also Rosa blanda f. blanda and Rosa fraxinifolia Lindl. Hips are red and pear-shaped.
