'Beauté' rose References
Book  (1993)  Page(s) 70.  Includes photo(s).

Beauté. Large-flowered. Beauty is the birthright of all roses and it may seem presumptuous to single out one rose above all others to bear her name, but ‘Beaute’ is worthy of the compliment. Few roses have such blooms that hold their form until they drop. The foliage is large and dark, dull green, the perfect setting for the huge and exquisite flowers, all apricot and cream. The bushes are apt to be on the low side, though not at all sparing with their flowers! The scent, though not strong, is pleasant. Raised by the remarkable French amateur rose-breeder Charles Mallerin, ‘Beauté’ was itnroduced in 1954. Mme. Joseph Perraud x unnamed seedling.

David Ruston, South Australia. Roses of Distinction.
For sheer streamlined elegance in the bud 'Beaute' is without peer and coupled with this the soft apricot-gold colouring of the bud gives us a rose of great distinction. I admit it does open rather quickly, but we cannot expect buds of this shape to hold too long.
