I have written several times with no response. All I want to know is if the Meidiland tree rose has to be dug up and taken in during the winter. We live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is Zone 6. Please let me know if you get this e-mail.

Royal Bonica is a hardy rose and as a bush would do okay in your area. However when it is grown as a tree then it is a long way from the ground and the top could be damaged in the winter winds. If you could warp it up after a few really hard frosts, that would help it through the winter.

Although I live in Europe and not in USA, much of the UK where I am from is also in Zone 6 and I can say that you should not have to lift the plant for over-wintering. All of Meilland landscape roses are renowned for their hardiness and health. Happy rose growing.
