Hybrid Perpetual.

Cerise or cherry-red.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.

The rose in Sangerhausen and in commerce seems mislabeled. The colour crimson or lake-red is more like that of the plant in the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden.
