Origin:
Bred by Alexander Dickson II (1857-1949) (United Kingdom, before 1924).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1924 as 'Shot Silk'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Shot Silk'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, salmon-orange shading, pink highlights, golden-yellow undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  27 petals.  Medium, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, well-branched.  Glossy, wavy or ruffled foliage.  

Height: up to 4¼' (up to 130cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
