Bred by Marest (France, 1854).
Discovered by Barbara May (Australia, before 2003).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Souvenir d'Elise Vardon'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Cream, yellow center, pink shading, ages to white .  Glandular or hairy pedicels.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Height of 3' (90 cm).  Width of 2' to 3' (60 to 90 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Heat tolerant.
