I am growing one successfully in Oakland, California. I planted it 4 years ago and this year it is looking just wonderful.

I live in the Mnts of NC zone 6. We grow this rose as a climber after having it wander all over the yard as a shrub. We have two as the roots split when we moved it and both bushes are doing well. Nancy B

Sparrieshoop was developed by the Kordes company in Germany in the early 1950s. Since germany is one of the colder parts of europe, this is very likely a pretty hardy rose. Good luck!

Every rose does well in California, but this is a Kordes rose which means it probably does well in the very cold zones. Kordes roses, Germany, are tolerant of cold.
