Bred by Unknown English Breeder(s) (United Kingdom, before 1779).
Class:
Centifolia.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Strong fragrance.  50 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium to large, large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Glandular sepals, leafy sepals buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Large, medium green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
