Bred by Unknown English Breeder(s) (United Kingdom, before 1824).
Introduced in France by Louis Noisette in before 1824 as 'Rosier multiflore à fleurs rouges'.
Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1843 as 'Rubra'.

Hybrid Multiflora.  
Bloom:
Scarlet to pink, red shading.  Small, very double, cupped bloom form.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
