No pruning necessary except to remove the past season's flower stems.
Sunshine... Orange yellow, stained red and fading to buff; double. Sweetly scented. Recommended. Introduced 1928.

I mention Pithiviers only because a most interesting recent Polyantha, the only one of orange-yellow color, aptly named Sunshine Polyantha, was originated in Pithiviers by Marcel Robichon, who sold his seedling to Cutbush, of England, for dissemination.

Proof in the Pudding. Hennessey considers is a beautiful Polyantha , both in color and foliage, but suggests planting it close together as it is not a strong grower.

Nous avons longtemps désiré un Polyantha jaune : « Perle d'Or » et « George Elger » ont été à peu près les seuls jaunes et ils ne sont jaunes qu’autant qu’ils restent en boutons. Une nouveauté, « Sunshine », fait un peu mieux, car elle est jaune-orange quand elle commence à s’ouvrir, et tourne au beige pâle, une nuance agréable dans toute espèce de rose, et spécialement ainsi dans cette classe.....
