Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 2000).
Introduced in Australia by Treloar Roses as 'Splice'.
Introduced in United States by Newflora™ LLC as 'Solero Vigorosa'.
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2009 as 'Solero'.
Class:
Floribunda, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow, ages to yellow .  Mild fragrance.  40 to 45 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, spreading.  Medium, glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  
Height of up to 28" (up to 70 cm).  Width of 20" to 32" (50 to 80 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: blackspot resistant, mildew resistant.

The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing made in a rose breeding program between `KORgosumu`, a non-patented rose by the same breeder, and an `un-named seedling`. The controlled crossing was made during the summer of 2000.

'Solero' was classed 7th in the Floribunda category at the 2010 Baden b. Wien rose trials.
