Dark purple and fuchsia / magenta. Strong, old rose, raspberry, sweet-pea fragrance. 40 to 65 petals. Average diameter 3.5". Medium-large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, old-fashioned, quartered bloom form. Moderate, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Medium, rounded buds.
Compact. Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage. 3 to 7 leaflets.
Can be used for container rose, cut flower, shrub or specimen.
I believe this has excellent potential. Its fragrance is superb and matches the bloom color beautifully. I have propagated this seedling (Fall 2009) and expect to see improved vigor in the plant in 2010. Often a seedling performs better once it has been propagated, exceeding the original seedling's vigor. Why this is I have no idea.
Ideally, this should be grafted onto a string rootstock to perform as well as it can.
