Article by Graham Thomas. …..Considerably more upright are those two fully double varieties ‘Prosperity’ and ‘Pink Prosperity’, making bushes up to 6 ft or more but much less in width and therefore more suitable when planted behind others. A shorter plant, with wonderful fragrance is the buff-yellow ‘Thisbe’.

It is fortunate that this variety has such a pronounced Musk fragrance, otherwise in spite of its colour I should be inclined to neglect it. Semi-double rosette blooms open from rich buff-yellow buds, fading later to creamy buff, enclosing rich golden stamens. Erect growth and light green leaves; the later sprays of bloom resemble those of ‘Cornelia’ in shape. This is near to the Lambertiana group but on account of its fragrance should never be forgotten 4 feet by 4 feet.
