Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 2001).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2011 as 'Milano'.
Introduced in United States by Chamblee's Rose Nursery in 2012 as 'Milano Kolorscape'.

Bloom:

Scarlet. Mild, fruity fragrance. 16 to 20 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Medium, semi-double to double, in small clusters, globular, rounded bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed, ovoid buds.

Habit:

Bushy, spreading. Glossy, medium green foliage. 5 leaflets.

Height: 2' to 4' (60 to 120cm). Width: 16" to 29" (40 to 75cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 4b through 9b. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.

The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing in a breeding program of two distinct parents during the summer of 2001. The crossing was between an ‘un-named seedling’ and an ‘un-named seedling’.
