Origin:
Bred by Henry H. Marshall (Canada, 1971).
Class:
Hybrid Suffulta, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Mild fragrance.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3".  In large clusters bloom form.  Prolific, spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Short, arching, armed with thorns / prickles.  Large, semi-glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: up to 3' (up to 90cm).  Width: up to 5½' (up to 165cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 2b and warmer.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Ploidy:
Triploid

Its parentage (the same as that of 'Survivor', which has been determined as triploid), and the low number of seeds per hip suggest that this rose is probably triploid.

The unnamed pollen parent was numbered 6118.
