BETTY UPRICHARD (Hybrid Tea) Introduced 1921 Pink, shaded copper and carmine This is an ideal Rose for a small garden, as it produces its blooms over a very long period. The habit of growth is upright and vigorous, but the foliage is liable at times to mildew. This can be kept in check by spraying. Fragrant. It only requires moderate pruning to about six eyes, and if left to itself will quickly make a big bush. Like all newly planted roses, it should be pruned hard at the end of March the first year after planting. Awarded a Gold Medal of the National Rose Society.
