Bred by Alexander Dickson II (1857-1949) (United Kingdom, 1928).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Advocate'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson - scarlet, dark red shading, darker center, deep pink undertones.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Medium-large, full (26-40 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Height of 32" to 4' 11" (80 to 150 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
