Breeder's notes:
This rose came to me mislabeled several years ago from a company known to make labeling mistakes. It was sold to me as Dr. Brownell and in many ways it appears to be Dr. Brownell. However, I am now convinced that, while it shares many similarities with Dr. Brownell, it just doesn't seem match up completely. There are a lot of "Brownell qualities" to this plant which makes me think it might be one of the later Brownell roses. I have been searching for this rose's true identity for a couple of years and have not been able to find a suitable match so far. However I am not an expert and will let others help me figure out what the true identity of this rose is. It is a very lovely rose that I wish to have identified soon.
