Origin:
Discovered by John Lewis Childs (United States, before 1893).
Introduced in United States by John Lewis Childs in 1896 as 'Childs' Jewel'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Tea.  
Bloom:
Deep yellow to vermilion, copper shading.  Dark copper-yellow to lighter, or vermilion with apricot yellow.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, semi-double to double bloom form.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, well-branched.  
Breeder's notes:
"It is a pure Tea Rose, the flower being large, delightfully fragrant, and in both bud and blossom exquisitely beautiful."
