Bred by Pierre-Victor Qu├ętier (France, before 1842).
Introduced in Australia by Giles and Son in 1881 as 'Chateau de Namur'.
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Violet, red edges, deep pink center, darker flecks.  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.
