Origin:
Bred by Jean Henri (J.H.) Nicolas (United States, before 1932).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1933 as 'Rochester'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Copper, ages to brown .  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Identical to the floribunda 'Rochester'? Was this first introduced as an HT with a different parentage?
