Origin:
Bred by R. Berland (France, before 1899).
Introduced in France by J.-B. Chauvry in 1899 as 'Monsieur Louis Liger'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Delicate or vivid red with a metallic sheen and slaty highlights; silvery-pink petal reverses.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Long, rounded buds.  
Growing:
Can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.
