I must have planted mine in the wrong place (under the roof run-off from the shingles) because my plants had black-spot problems. Beautiful and plenty of well-shaped flowers though. The fragrance seems to be underated (to me) because my Bonica roses had a pleasant sweet scent.

Plant it and forget it... This is another of my carefree roses that always look great and healthy with sprays of lovely pink blooms and lush, healthy foliage.
Stands up to the elements... Rain, wind, cool springs and even dry and sunny stretches... In my experience of having grown literally hundreds of roses... It is one of the elite few that looks and does great through a range of conditions while actually being beautiful.
No fungal problems ever with this one and I never spray.
I would definitely recommend.

If it is correctly labeled. Sexton has a problem with incorrectly labeled plants.

Sexton Roses are sold through Home Depot and are notorious for having their roots chopped down to 3 or inches. You are asking for failure if you purchase these body-bagged duds.

I had this rose for 2 years - non stop blooms, disease free, fabulous - no winter protection whatsoever.
Lost after 4 years of neglect due to illness - definitely planning to replace.
