Bloom:
Orange - scarlet. Moderate, musk fragrance. 25 petals. Average diameter 4". Large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy, upright. Glossy foliage. Height of 4' to 6' 7" (120 to 200 cm). Width of up to 4' (up to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 10b.
Notes:
[Note: The date of introduction for Bonn is given as 1950. The date of introduction for Independence, one of its parents, is 1951. Both roses are from Kordes and Independence received a gold medal in Bagatelle as early as 1943, so was probably being used in the Kordes breeding program for several years before its date of introduction.]
