This rose used to be a common foundling in damper areas of the Adelaide Hills, and was identified for us as Anais Segalas; however, Californian visitors questioned the ID. The colour is very hard to photograph, and neither of my photos is quite right. I wonder if two different roses are currently using the name. Whatever it is, it's lovely; good perfume, some bristles but not prickly as such. It suckers widely, and will climb through other shrubs. I haven't seen hips on my plant.
