Apparently a species cross (?) found growing at the Casa de Anza adobe in San Juan Bautista, CA. Added here in hopes someone might know its identity.
FOLIAGE 7 oval leaflets, matte CANES purple, ageing to grey PRICKLES. Small, narrow slightly curved downwards, dehiscent on old wood HEIGHT 5- 15 feet? BUD pale pink, in clusters BLOOM. opening pale pink, ageing to white PETALS semi-double, up to 15, orbicular, with an imperceptible tip. ANTHERS large SEPALS Glandular, foliated, long, extending well above bud. PEDICEL glandular RECEPTACLE orbicular
