Bloom:
Deep pink. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 3.25". Medium to large, very large, very double, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Bushy, spreading. Large, matte foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 39" to 6'7" (100 to 200cm). Width: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Trevor Griffiths, in A Celebration of Old Roses, says this rose may be 'Bullata'. DNA analysis of plants in L'Hay has shown 'Bullata' to be closely related to 'Petite de Hollande' (which in commerce has been confused with 'Gros Pompon').- see References.
