Breeder's notes:
It gives us great pleasure to name this single rose for our good friend Stephen Hoy of Warner Robins, Georgia State, USA,
whose love of single roses is well known. His newsletter titled Singularly Beautiful Roses is always well researched and imparts a lot of information about many not so well known roses. We always look forward to getting a copy each time, and read and reread the contents.
The parentage of this hybrid gigantea is Ahimsa x (Winter Sunset x Maebara’s Dream). It is a short climber/tall shrub, continuous bloomer, and the colour is a lovely combination of orange, brown, mauve and red, and the stamens are a most attractive feature. A spicy fragrance adds to its appeal.
The stamen are a most attractive feature. Prickles: medium size, hooked pointing downwards, grey colour. Can be grown as a short climber or tall shrub. Pointed foliage.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
