Notes:
Lady Frances Waldegrave (1821-1879) was a leading political hostess of early Victorian society. She was known for her restoration and preservation of Strawberry Hill, an early example of Gothic Revival architecture built by the novelist, Horace Walpole. After the death of her first husband in 1840, she would remarry three times.
