This first generation hybrid of New Dawn is called 'White Cockade'. A Cockade is that plume of feathers that stick out of the top of the french officers cap. It blooms at Azalea House strongly in spring and fall with only a few blooms between. As it opens it goes through several stages. This is stage 2. Its never been sprayed for Black spot or mildew and yet the leaves are always unblemished as long as you water well each week. Its planted in a high quality garden soil in full sun. It tolerates 20 below 0 in Voorheesville, NY with no protection without dieback.
