CARMINE PILLAR. (Climbing Hybrid Perpetual.) The flowers are produced in large trusses, with a background of delightful olive green foliage from early June until the second week in July. In habit of growth it is very vigorous, and makes shoots from 10ft. to 12ft. long in one season. Excellent for pillars, arches, screens, or for growing as a specimen plant in shrubberies. Introduced in 1895.
