From 1913 series of Wills's cigarette cards (No 97)
Text on reverse of card:
SUNBURST.
(Hybrid Tea.)
The flowers are large and fairly full, with nice elongated cupped form, carried, singly on long erect stems. An ideal rose for decorative purposes, having few thorns and delightful foliage. Excellent for pot culture or for bedding, but not large enough for exhibition. Should be sparingly pruned, and prefers a medium loam soil. Introduced in 1912.
