Roses grow in light larch/pine/spruce/birch-forest under the trees or on natural smaller clearings, not so much on large open meadows, as they may be too dry. Rose bushes rarely exceed one foot in height. Morning temperatures end of August just above or around freezing point. August 20th 2016.
