"Excellenz von Schubert" was bought last summer as a tree to cover a concrete wall. It is a lovely rose, the small blooms are beautiful but tend to fade in hot weather. This plant unfortunately was not pruned in spring, and the branches are a bit too long, so it will get a mid-season cut after the first flush of blooms. Also, the plant was the only one amongst more than 100 roses that had some mildew this spring. We don't spray, and we will see how it will perform despite this "weakness".
