I removed two petals to inspect the coloration, so excuse the lack of fullness in the name of science. It is indeed like the catalogs state. On the face, they are a flame red-orange, and the reverse is kind of an old gold with some reddish blurred in. I can tell that the petals will likely age to a coral red tone. At least it seems that way to me.
