Close up of Tradescant leaves (from Rosefern) with PALE thorns. In contrast, more vigorous L.D. Braithwaite has DARKER brown thorns and larger leaves. Tradescant prefers more alkaline pH, but L.D. Braithwaite is very vigorous & healthy even with tons of acidic rain.
