Arno, very interesting shots, especially the form with the darker filaments and disk. Would you please confirm that these darker structures are not the result of aging and that the Tashkent Rosa Persica opens dark and remains dark?

Hi cass!

I can confirm this for sure as I watched the states of the flowers very closely this year!

Look at the filaments, for example (the "stems" of the stamina), here you can see the colour and compare it better.
I still have a bud on the Taschkent Type of the plants and I will make Macros of the stamina, etc, too!

Greetings!

Thanks, Arno. Is the scent of the Taschkent form the typical foetida scent?

What do you guess, as an anonymous? ...

no, definetely NOT!

But the rare Pimpinellifolia lutea has got this smell (is it Linalool?)

Very interesting to go through the whole series of your photos from last year to now! It would be good to have the different prickles of the two types documented as you have done for the blooms.

Jedmar,

I will do this, at the moment gardening takes much time, but of course all the traits I mentioned will be documented here online!
For me its also a little shock and I think this could have really consequences for breeding lines.
Also the crossing between the different types is of interest, but ... it'll take time.

Greetings!
Arno
