From the University of Tennessee:
"A no-spray rose trial has been conducted at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center ...in Jackson, TN since 2006. In 2007, sites were added... in Crossville, TN and ...) in Poplarville, MS. A total of 136 cultivars were evaluated in at least two of the three test locations. Roses with superior resistance (less than 2% foliage infected) to black spot and cercospora leaf spot were considered no-spray roses (do not require fungicides for clean foliage). Roses rated moderately resistant (less than 10% foliage infected) may need limited spraying to maintain clean foliage. Tolerant roses are susceptible to black spot and/or cercospora leaf spot, but may defoliate, while blooming well all summer."
