Rosa gallica grandiflora Parentage unknown. Flowers: large (for a Gallica -- 4 in.), light crimson, fragrant. Extremely hardy. Originated in St. Petersburg from where it was introduced to the West in 1906. Kordes used it as a parent for 'Scarlet Fire'.
