Es sind im Laufe des Jahres 1846 zwar ausgezeichnete Rosen in den Handel gekommen; allein der größte Theil derjenigen, welche vom Jahr 1842 bis Ende 1845 erschienen und von mir in Nr. 4 bis 12 (1846) in dieser Zeitung beschrieben wurden, steht immer noch unübertroffen da. Ich erinnere unter den remontirenden Hybriden noch besonders an Comte de Paris, Prince Albert, Comte d'Eu; Aubernon, Alice Peel; Julie Dupont; Louis Bonaparte; Lady Fordwyk; Mad. Laffay; Melanie Cornu; La Reine; Marquesa Boccella; Clementine Séringe; Mistris Elliot; Rivers; Roche Plantier, Duchesse Montmorency; Reine Victoria; Bossu; Duc d'Aumale.

In the course of 1846 excellent roses came onto the market; but the largest part of those which appeared from the year 1842 to the end of 1845 and were described by me in Nos. 4 to 12 (1846) in this newspaper are still unsurpassed. Perpetuelle hybride Rosen.
Augustine Mouchelet. Auch diese Rose ist sehenswerth, denn bei einer starken Füllung, bedeutender Größe und schönem Bau ist sie violet-rosafarbig, gewinnt aber ein leuchtendes Ansehen durch den carminfarbigen Mittelpunkt.

Augustine Mouchelet. This rose is worth a look, not only for the large size and beautiful, full shape of its flower, but also because of how its violet-rose coloring is brightened by its carmine-colored center.

Bengalische hybriden.
Belle de Rosny. Starke, lange, rostbraun-grüne Zweige, mit dünnen, schwachen und zahlreichen Dornen; das Blatt breit, blaß-grün; die Blumen sehr zahlreich, blaßrosafarbig-lila, in Büscheln stehend, von schönem Anfehen. Man findet sie bei Herrn Laffay.

Hybrid Chinas.
Belle de Rosny. Strong, long, russet-green branches, with thin, weak and numerous thorns; the pale green leaves are wide; the flowers are very numerous, pale lilac-pink in color, produced in handsome and impressive clusters. Available from Mr Laffay.

Neue Rosen bei Herrn Desprez zu Yèbles.
R. Bengale Aine. Das jungen Blätter carmoisinpurpurfarbig, später sehr dunkelgrün; das Holz ziemlich gebogen; wenige oder gar keine Dornen; die Blüthen zahlreich, klein, gut gefüllt, leicht sich öffnend, 18 bis 20 Linien breit, weiße Kägel und Fäden, die sich auf dem Rosacarmin der Blumenkrone sehr gut ausnehmen. Diese Rose ist ausnehmend zierlich, besonders auch durch die ganz regelmäßig herzförmigen und dachziegelförmig gestellten Blumenblatter.

R. Bengale Aine. New leaves are a crimson-purple, later very dark green; the wood rather curved, with few or no thorns; the flowers are numerous, small, double, opening easily, 18 to 20 lines wide, white whorls and filaments, which contrast well with the pink carmine of the petals. This rose is exceptionally dainty, especially because of the regularly heart-shaped and imbricated petals.

Thee-Rose. Bien aimé Hain (gewiß eine Noisettiana).
Vielblumig, klein, sehr gefüllt, zierlich gebaut, Mischung von Incarnat, Pfirsichblüthe und Rosa; feiner Geruch.

Tea Rose. Bien aimé Hain (certainly a Noisette).
Small, very double, well-formed flowers blooming in clusters, a blend of flesh, peach blossom and pink; a fine scent.
